What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus — on the ovaries, tubes, bowel or bladder. This tissue bleeds with each menstrual cycle but cannot exit the body, leading to inflammation, adhesions and pain.
